Carl Mullan seems like he is bursting with confidence when he hits the 2FM airwaves alongside his co-hosts, Roz Purcell and Aisling Bonner, but that it is not always the case.
The presenter has recently been diagnosed with ADHD. Carl explained how the diagnosis made sense to him, as he feels it is connected to his overthinking.
‘Overthinking is an ADHD symptom, and I was always so sensitive and afraid of upsetting other people,’ he told the Irish Examiner.
The dad-of-three explained that he tends to spend a lot of time in his head, something fans might be shocked to find out. Carl admitted that he often struggles with confidence, an issue he has had since childhood.
‘People might be surprised, considering what I do, but I get serious imposter syndrome and convince myself I’m not good enough to do things. I shied away from sports as a kid because I thought I was bad at them,’ he told the outlet.
